Online dates are becoming one of the internet's "best sellers", as their popularity is increasing day by day.

A lot of singles (and, let's face it, some not-so-singles too...) seem to find the Internet a great mean to

get in touch with each other, as a way to meet people without having to make the "first contact" in

person. This has made wonders for a lot of people, but most for shy people who wants to date other

people, but have a problem to make face-to-face approaches.

There are sites dedicated to get people in contact with each other to make friends, find true love and

even for one time sex-dates.

There are some very reputable sites providing these services, some of them have been up and running

for several years, and are making great profit. These sites' content is able to be searched locally, so you

are able to look for available people within your very own town or city.

If you are looking for a date, then you should strongly consider online dating as a real alternative, but

you should look for those dating sites that are well known. That way you will have two advantages: first

of all, the more reputable a site is, the more users it has in its database, so you will have a "bigger menu"

to choose from, being able to meet a lot more people than through less known sites. The second advantage you will have is seriousness: the best sites filter their user database to eliminate or reduce to the minimum

the number of non valid (a.k.a. non real) users.

So, if you ask me, online dating is a great way to get in touch with new people, and if you choose the right dating site you will be able to meet just the kind of person you want to meet. And, who knows, you might
